Michael Studtmann
Attorney
Michael has practiced in Kansas courts since 1985 and has been admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit since 2008. An active member of the Wichita Bar Association, he has chaired the Lawyers Assistance Committee and served two terms on the State Board of Lawyers Assistance in Kansas. He is also a past member of the Inns of Court affiliated with the WBA. For more than twenty years, Michael has taught continuing legal education and represents Kansas attorneys in matters of professional conduct. Michael practices with his brother, John, in a general practice with a strong emphasis on criminal defense. He also brings decades of experience in federal bankruptcy matters, as well as family law, probate, and juvenile cases across Kansas. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Bethany College and a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law. Community service has guided his career from the start and remains central to his work and life. Michael believes in second chances—and in a fresh start for everyone.
